We felt that the time was right to create a Facebook Page for our organization/event.  If you read this post, please LIKE US.!  Yes, the event is coordinated by our core committee, but we’ve grown where we’ve had to move our event to a permanent home at the Canton Salvation Army on Market Ave South!

WHAT IS SHARE THE WARMTH – – A Family Christmas Eve?
We are serving the needs of the homeless on this one day — when we want everyone in Stark County to feel they are loved and a part of our family.

WHEN IS THE EVENT?
It’s back to the original time of 1p to 5p.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO WE EXPECT?
With Christmas Eve falling on a Monday, we expect to serve up to 750 meals!

Here’s What We’re putting together:

Dinner:  On Christmas Eve, we are offering a complete meal, including turkey, ham and all the fixings to the homeless men, women and children in Stark County.

Meeting Personal Needs:  We are also hoping to provide for many needs that day, including clothing, shoes, coats, and personal hygiene kits — There is even a triage station planned, along with hair stylists, and make-up & nail artists.

Music and More:  We’ve asked many of the most talented singers and artists in Stark County to join us in this special day of sharing the warmth of the holidays!

 How Can You Help?

Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to set up, serve meals, clean up, or even offer services to the homeless. We’ll be signing up volunteers later this week.

Sponsorship
Most of the event’s needs have been covered through generous donations of food and clothing.  Our expenses are approximately $2,000.   You can go on our website to donate.
